My fondest memories of Central High School are my years in ROTC.  As an Honor Platoon member my freshman year I enjoyed the marching, the rifle drills and the parades.  My Junior year I moved into the color guard and did not do as much marching with the Honor Platoon but the parades and the football games still hold great memories for me.  The trips to New Orléans hold very special memories for me.  I have always believed it was only by the Grace of God that a bunch of high school kids of all ages got dumped in the middle of the City of New Orléans in the middle of Madi Gras and in all of the years no one was hurt or arrested.   Oh, the things we did!  How the school survived with no supervision of any of us in New Orleans where the alcohol flowed like milk amazes me.  I am really looking forward to this reunion we were all a special class, and to see how this class and our friends around us have finished the task of growing up. As I left for Parris Island 5 days after graduation and as I moved from there to Camp Lejeune and Camp Pendleton all of my classmates were all headed in different directions.  I was never able to keep up with any own so to hear about your path to adulthood is going to be great.  Look forward to seeing everyone again.

The planning committee for our reunion has been having so much fun sharing stories and memories, catching up on what we know about other classmates, and remembering all the great things about Central High.  We can't wait to see everyone in May and here your stories, too!
